ASANTEMAN UK Akwasidae events

A flagship celebration showcasing the richness of Asante culture through music, dance, regalia, and tradition—bringing communities together in unity and pride.

Akwasidae, which means “the day of the sacred stool” is a six-weekly festival held on Sundays to honor ancestors and reaffirm allegiance to the Asantehene

EXPERIENCE ASANTEMAN HISTORY

Asanteman, founded in the 1670s by Osei Tutu I and Okomfo Anokye, was a powerful, highly centralized Akan empire in modern-day Ghana, renowned for its military strength, gold wealth, and the Golden Stool (Sika Dwa). Centered in Kumasi.
